Moulding

We are associated with Shining Founders & Engineers Rajkot Have expertise to make moulds using the following processes:

» Hand Mould process

» Greensand Mould process

» No bake Mould process

Pouring

The salient features of our casting process are:

» Use of special grade pig iron with high silicon content

» Use of special grade cast iron scrap that is collected from a ship-breaking yard

Installation of instant ferro labs at each furnace to (a) monitor content of carbon, silicon, and manganese, in the metal and (b) measure its temperature and tensile strength.

Casting

Our Foundry have one Dual Port Induction furnace (Port Cap. 500+750 kgs) and six nos. coal fired “cupola” furnaces of diameters ranging from 21 inches to 36 inches.( Out put Metal 2MT ~3.5MT per Hour)

Shot blasting, Grinding and Fettling

The castings, after they are given sufficient time for cooling, undergo shot blasting process. Then they are

brought to the Grinding and Fettling shop to remove any rough edges and other such casting defects. These two processes together play a very important role in ensuring a smooth and even product necessary for machining.

Machining

We provide semi-machining Or Finish Machining as to customer demands.

Finishing

The castings are again sent for shot blasting from the machine shop to remove any scratches arising due to

grinding and fettling.

After this they are sent to the paint shop for primer coating as per customer specification.

Quality Control

D.N. Engineers has been issued ISO 9001:2000 certification by TUV Management Service

Gmbh(Suddeutscheland) and accordingly a stringent quality control program is followed which is implemented in the following phases


» Checking of raw materials » Input Metal analysis in our own fully equipped laboratory by qualified personnel » Checking of cores before they are placed in moulds » Inspection after shot-blasting process » Final inspection of finished products

Other Facilities

We have a small pattern shop for maintenance of our customers’ patterns. We can make patterns if required we can also arrange for pattern making from some of the best firms in India.
